CHARLOTTE, NC — While the past week had a thoroughly soggy start, this weekend promises to have a gorgeous finish, filled with mild temperatures and plenty of sunshine, according to forecasters.
Temperatures will be mild over the next few days, with highs hovering in the mid-80s, according to the National Weather Service. Enjoy it while you can because the daily highs are expected to reach the low 90s next week.

Mostly clear, with a low around 62. East wind around 6 mph becoming calm after midnight.
Saturday (Aug. 25)
Mostly sunny, with a high near 84. North northeast wind 3 to 5 mph.
Partly cloudy, with a low around 66. Light east northeast wind.
Sunday (Aug. 26)
Mostly sunny, with a high near 88. Calm wind becoming west northwest around 5 mph in the afternoon.
Mostly clear, with a low around 70.
Monday (Aug. 27)
Sunny, with a high near 90.
